Will I get return on investment for bathroom updates?

Posted

I’m often asked by my sellers “what shall I spend money on to help me sell faster?”  That’s a great question because often dollars are spent on the things that won’t help you get  one more dime for your home. The things that help you sell faster and on the higher end a buyer is willing to pay for your neighborhood are fresh paint, updated floors, kitchens and bathrooms. And when we are talking bathrooms, if you can only update one bathroom make sure it is the master bathroom.

October is National Kitchen and Bath Month! A homeowner can expect a bathroom remodel to have an ROI (return on investment) of about 70%!

You don’t have to spend $25000 to update a bathroom. It may be as simple as take down all wallpaper and update faucets, knobs and shower trim (i.e. bright brass is no longer “in”).
